Urns delivered anywhere in Arkansas
We ship marble, granite and wood cremation urns, keepsakes and pet urns to every address in Arkansas, including Little Rock, Fayetteville, Fort Smith and Springdale. Orders leave our warehouse within 1 business day, standard ground delivery is 3–5 business days within the continental US, and shipping is free on orders over $100.
Memory Urns sells urns only; we are not a funeral home or crematory. Most funeral homes and crematories will transfer ashes into an urn you bring, or you can do it at home.
Arkansas rules for keeping and scattering ashes
Here is what state sources say. Local rules, parks and cemeteries can add their own requirements, so check with them before you plan a scattering or burial.
- Arkansas rules allow ashes to be placed in a crypt, niche, grave or scattering garden in a dedicated cemetery, or scattered over uninhabited public lands, the sea or other public waterways (17 CAR 30-209).
- Scattering on private property other than a cemetery needs the owner's written consent.
- Ashes must be removed from their closed container before scattering.
- After delivery to the family, ashes may be moved anywhere in Arkansas without a permit.
Choosing an urn for your plans
If you plan to keep the ashes at home, a full-size marble cremation urn or granite urn is made to last on display. If you are scattering most of the ashes, a keepsake urn keeps a small portion close. For burial, ask the cemetery whether it requires an urn vault; see can cremation urns be buried.
Not sure of the size? Allow about one cubic inch for each pound of healthy body weight; our urn size guide explains it.
